Our Doctor

​​​​​Dr. Christine Kniffen hails from the charming town of Tyndall, South Dakota. She ventured beyond the Midwest to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University and has proudly served the Albuquerque community for 25 years. Her career began with the honor of serving America’s military heroes and their families as an Active Duty officer in the United States Air Force at Kirtland AFB. After her tour of duty, Dr. Kniffen became the fourth owner of Casey Optical Company in 2011, continuing a legacy that began in 1958 when Lomas Blvd was just two lanes and the business was a pharmacy and soda shop. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Kniffen is dedicated to transforming the eyewear prescribing and styling experience. She also monitors and treats chronic eye conditions using the latest testing devices to ensure optimal eye health and vision. A proud Ole Miss parent, Dr. Kniffen enjoys adventurous excursions of skiing, mountain biking, and river rafting with her son Tanner. She often visits her future retirement home in Taos, NM, with her cat Sage, where she indulges in hiking, yoga, and experimenting with new recipes.
